Clearing Out Your Loved One's Estate with Care & Compassion

Clearing out and discarding decades' worth of items that are not your own, yet may carry emotional weight and significance for you, can be a difficult job at the best of times. An estate clean-out is often not done by choice, or at the opportune moment, but we are sensitive to all the circumstances that may surround a clean-out of your loved one's estate.

These are the moments when our motto of "Not All Junk is Trash" truly comes into play. Because these items were once loved by someone, and we want to honor that intention. Even if you don't want to keep the furniture, kitchenware, or knick-knacks yourself, chances are there is someone out there who does want them. And we'll help you find that someone!

Our goal is to keep as many usable items out of the landfills as possible, so we have developed relationships with multiple nonprofit organizations seeking donations. If something is usable, we will find a way to reuse it, and someone who wants it!

We regularly donate items to nonprofits serving community members in need. Whether it is furniture you have no room for in your own house, clothing or housewares you have no use for, duplicate tools or gardening items, or an unopened stash of cleaning supplies or personal care items, so often these items are not trash, and may be desperately needed by someone. We work with organizations in the community serving individuals who want and need your discarded items, and will find the right place to donate your loved one's belongings so that they find a new home, and a second life.

Our team sorts all items on site, packing donation items separately from those destined for the landfill. It takes a little more time and care, but that extra effort differentiates our service from simply throwing everything in a dumpster. What kinds of items do we donate?

Dishware, cookware, small kitchen appliances, any kitchen tools
Large & small furniture, in both pristine and "gently-loved" condition
Artwork & decorations
Soft goods - including clothing, outerwear, and bedding
Lawn and garden tools and equipment
Cleaning supplies (unopened)
Personal care items (new and unopened)
Musical instruments (except pianos!)
Pet supplies
Holiday decorations
Books
Anything else we can find a home for!

Of course, we'll remove the trash too. Because while not all junk is trash, sometimes trash is...just trash. 😉
